About The Position

Mentors provide Gateway Woods’ teens and WillowBridges young adults with support, guidance, and a sense of belonging. They are community members who model Christ and create relationships that are emotionally, physically, and spiritually safe. Mentors welcome our youth into their families, spending time with them and developing supportive, consistent relationships.

• Willingness to welcome youth into their families
• Willingness to spend time with youth
• Willingness to develop supportive, consistent relationships
• Willingness to invest a few hours a week
• Willingness to engage in activities such as phone calls, playing games, or sharing meals

Responsibilities

• Provide support, guidance, and a sense of belonging to teens and young adults.
• Model Christ-like behavior and create emotionally, physically, and spiritually safe relationships.
• Welcome youth into their families and spend time with them.
• Develop supportive and consistent relationships.
