About The Position

Afternoon Work with Fantastic Kids. This job offers a rare opportunity to help delightful Hueneme students in grades 1 – 8 with their homework. You’ll be helping the community while earning a good wage. Tutors work as many days as possible within Monday through Thursday, from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. The program is planned to start November 1st and will run at least through the end of January, with potential extensions through the end of the 25/26 school year or beyond. Tutor positions are also available at the Camarillo center. For the Hueneme program, work will be on school campuses or at the center, with no home visits required.

Requirements

• Experience working with kids
• Fluent in English speaking and writing
• Reliable transportation
• At least an elementary school level of math (will be checked)
• Pass a background check
• Pass a Tuberculosis (TB) test
• Obtain several child-related certificates with guidance
