The Mental Health Worker plays a key role in providing support and interventions for children and adolescents receiving services through the Program. As a valued member of the treatment team, the Mental Health Worker partners with the Clinician to help create a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment. Communicate concerns, request assistance, and work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to support children and adolescents experiencing challenging behavioral or emotional needs. Responsibilities include facilitating activities, running group meetings with 10-12 clients, supporting clients' treatment goals, maintaining a safe environment, daily case note documentation and providing transportation using company vehicles from school to the Joshua Center Program and from the program to the student's home. This position requires flexibility to provide support at other Natchaug Hospital locations as operational needs require. Sites may include Dayville, Enfield, Mansfield, Groton, Norwich, or Vernon.
