About The Position

The Mental Health Worker provides care to patients in a manner that promotes safety, comfort, and a therapeutic environment. Requirements

• At least one year of previous work with mental health experience is desired.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate groups and activities as scheduled.
• Provide crisis intervention and assistance as needed.
• Complete documentation requirements.
• Observe and communicate changes in a patient's condition or behavior to the appropriate charge nurse and nursing supervisor.
• Provide one-to-one counseling sessions with residents as behavioral needs require.
• Assist with monitoring floors and hallways, and provide one-to-one monitoring as needed.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
