26-1610B Part Time Mental Health Worker AMHS/Bridges Crisis Unit
About The Position
Under the general supervision of the Bridges Crisis Unit Coordinator, Adult Mental Health Services (AMHS), provides a supportive atmosphere for consumers and monitors their functioning status. Aids clinicians and interacts with consumers in a short-term crisis intervention program. Must be able to problem solve crisis situations and intervene with consumers both individually and in group settings. Candidate is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and secure environment. This position involves custodial tasks including cleaning resident rooms and sometimes preparing meals for up to 16 residents.
Requirements
- Possession of high school diploma or G.E.D.
- Six months of experience working with persons with emotional impairments.
- Ability to communicate accurately and effectively both orally and in writing.
- Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job related use.
- Must be able to pass a physical exam annually.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.

Benefits
- $3.35 Stipend Tier Pay for working in the BCU
- Shift Incentive: + $2/hour for hours worked 12am – 8am
- + $3/hour for weekends worked Friday 5pm – Monday 8am
