About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Bridges Crisis Unit Coordinator, Adult Mental Health Services (AMHS), provides a supportive atmosphere for consumers and monitors their functioning status. Aids clinicians and interacts with consumers in a short-term crisis intervention program. Must be able to problem solve crisis situations and intervene with consumers both individually and in group settings. Candidate is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and secure environment. This position involves custodial tasks including cleaning resident rooms and sometimes preparing meals for up to 16 residents.

Requirements

  • Possession of high school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Six months of experience working with persons with emotional impairments.
  • Ability to communicate accurately and effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job related use.
  • Must be able to pass a physical exam annually.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.

Benefits

  • Stipend Tier Pay for working in the BCU
  • Shift Incentive: + $1.25/hour for hours worked 5pm – 12am
  • + $3/hour for weekends worked Friday 5pm – Monday 8am
