About The Position
Centurion is seeking a full-time Mental Health Worker/Technician to join their team at the State Correctional Institution-Muncy in Muncy, Pennsylvania. This role involves providing routine supervision and informal education to offenders in daily living activities. The Mental Health Worker will also participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning, implement assigned interventions, document significant changes in offender functioning, and assist in facilitating group therapeutic sessions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency.
- Must have a current driver's license.
- Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.
Nice To Haves
- Training, experience or certification as a nurse’s aide, medical technician, EMT, or activities technician.
- Prior experience in mental health, drug/alcohol rehabilitation or intellectual disability services.
Responsibilities
- Provide routine supervision of offenders.
- Provide informal education in routine activities and daily living.
- Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning meetings.
- Implement interventions as assigned.
- Document and inform appropriate staff of significant changes in offenders functioning.
- Assist facilitating group therapeutic sessions.
