About The Position
The Retreat at Sheppard Pratt is a 22-bed residential program renowned for its expert care, designed for patients seeking a comprehensive evaluation and intensive treatment experience in a psychotherapeutic milieu. The program aims to help residents make meaningful progress toward recovery, unencumbered by third-party payment policies. The Retreat offers an elegantly appointed setting in a specially renovated space on Sheppard Pratt's main campus in Towson (Baltimore County). Residents typically stay for several weeks to several months and the program embodies a multi-disciplinary treatment approach for various psychiatric conditions, including mood disorders, personality disorders, anxiety disorders, and co-occurring disorders with substance-use disorders, all treated safely and effectively in a voluntary, unlocked environment.
Requirements
- HS Diploma/GED.
- Must be available to work every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday).
- Must be available to attend 7 day mandatory clinical orientation training: Thursday, Friday and the following Monday through Friday (excluding Saturday & Sunday), 8:00am-4:30pm each day.
- In addition to the 7 day clinical orientation, you will be required to complete a 4 week unit orientation. During this time you will be required to work 3 day shifts per week.
Nice To Haves
- Human Services related degree or past direct care or related experience strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the planning and evaluation of patient needs based on patient behaviors.
- Provide direct patient care services in accordance with the treatment plan and under the direction of a professional nurse.
- Assist in providing a safe and therapeutic environment according to established policies and procedures.
