About The Position

Nulton Diagnostic and Treatment Center is accepting resumes for a Mental Health Worker (MHW) for the Child and Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program in Bedford, PA. Responsibilities include working alongside the teacher and other MHWs or MHPs in the classroom as part of a cohesive team. The successful candidate would be responsible for monitoring behaviors in the classroom, while providing support for the emotional and behavioral health needs of students, as established in their treatment plans. The essential duties include direct supervision of the students, treatment planning and documentation, providing direct therapeutic group activities/treatment and crisis interventions. The applicant should possess a desire to work with children having academic and behavioral health challenges with the assurance of having support from a dedicated, therapeutic team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a social service or education field
  • At least one year of experience working with children and families
  • Must be able to obtain Act 33, Act 34 and FBI clearances

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working with children/adolescents in a mental health capacity
