About The Position

The mental health worker (MHW) is a key member of Merakey’s interdisciplinary, clinic‑based behavioral health team. In this role, the MHW/Therapist delivers high‑quality, person‑centered therapeutic services, including individual, couples, family, and group therapy, while promoting strong client engagement and ongoing retention. Core responsibilities include completing intake evaluations, conducting comprehensive assessments, facilitating therapy sessions, and coordinating care in close collaboration with clinical leadership. The MHW/therapist ensures services align with best practices and organizational standards, supports overall client wellness, and meets established productivity expectations as an essential member of the outpatient treatment program. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program in a human‑services field such as Social Work, Clinical Counseling, or Psychology.
  • Knowledge of evidence‑based and/or recovery‑oriented treatment practices
  • Strong documentation, organizational, and time‑management skills.
  • Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems .
  • Ability to work in person with adults, children, and adolescents
  • Maintain a schedule that supports billing approximately 15–20 direct client contact hours per week.

Nice To Haves

  • One - two years of prior clinical or counseling experience is strongly preferred.
