About The Position

Centurion Health is seeking a Mental Health Unit Director to join their team at the Joliet Inpatient Treatment Center in Joliet, Illinois. This role provides administrative guidance, direct supervision, and training to clinical and administrative staff. The director will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate clinical needs and deliver quality behavioral/mental health services within a correctional setting. Responsibilities include developing and implementing site-level treatment schedules, participating in hiring processes, conducting performance evaluations, managing disciplinary procedures, and ensuring compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Requirements

IL Licensed Psychologist or IL Licensed Counselor, Social Worker or Therapist: LCPC, LCSW, LMFT
Must maintain current tuberculosis documentation and active CPR/AED certification.
Must be able to pass background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.

Nice To Haves

Supervisory experience in a state or county corrections facility is preferred.
Behavioral/mental health experience in a correctional and/or mental health residential treatment unit environment is preferred.
