About The Position
Managing a busy Geriatric Mental Health Unit is so rewarding. As the nursing leader within a strong clinical team, you support the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the day-to-day functions of your team.
Requirements
- State of Maine Nursing license
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience sufficient to perform all duties with excellence
- Knowledge and use of Electronic Medical Records and/or solid computer skills
- Strong communication skills, both in writing and verbally
- Effective leadership skills and/or ability to invest in growing this skill
- Read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Possess a diploma, AS or BS degree in nursing.
- Currently registered/licensed in Maine.
- CPR certification upon hire or obtained during orientation.
- CPR certification must remain current during employment.
- Experience working in the field of mental health
- Proven yourself to be an effective communicator and leader
- Proven record of maintaining calm in a stressful and demanding job
- Co-workers would describe you as someone who is flexible with excellent time management skills
