About The Position
Join our behavioral health team in Syracuse as a Mental Health Therapy Aide supporting evening-shift operations. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current CPR certification is required
- Minimum 1 year in mental health settings
- Direct psychiatric/behavioral health experience required
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities
- Proven collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams
Responsibilities
- Provide direct therapeutic support and crisis intervention
- Monitor patient safety and behavior during evening shifts
- Assist with group activities and daily therapeutic programs
- Document patient interactions and report changes to clinical staff
- Maintain a therapeutic environment consistent with facility protocols
