About The Position

RHA Health Services is hiring a Mental Health Therapist for its Behavioral Health Urgent Care center. This position is part of an interdisciplinary team providing crisis assessment, referrals, stabilization, emergency care, treatment, and support to people experiencing mental health or substance use crises. The therapist provides direct care to individuals with psychiatric or substance use disorders, supports patient safety and well-being, and helps maintain a therapeutic environment while following RHA standards of care. The schedule is three 12-hour day shifts. Pay depends on experience and licensure; licensed clinical professionals start at $28 per hour. There is no on-call expectation or productivity requirement. Night and weekend shifts receive a differential.

Requirements

• Crisis experience is required.
• A valid driver's license and automotive insurance are required.
• Complete pre-employment criminal background screening, registry checks, drug testing, education verification, and other credentialing based on position requirements.
• Provide proof of employment history or references if required.
• For positions requiring driving, provide proof of driver's license, driver's insurance, and a vehicle if required to transport individuals.

Nice To Haves

• Relevant credentials or associate-level license, such as LCSW, LCMHC, LMFT, or LCAS.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to individuals with psychiatric disorders and substance use disorders in the crisis center.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of each patient and support maintenance of the therapeutic environment.
• Triage patients.
• Complete crisis assessments.
• Provide clinical recommendations and case management.
• Demonstrate de-escalation skills and a solution-focused approach.
• Conduct IVC First evaluations.
