About The Position
New Jersey Mentor, a part of the Sevita family, provides Residential and Treatment Foster Care services to youth who may be facing out-of-home placements, transitioning back into the family home or independent living alternatives, or involved in the juvenile justice system. Requirements
- Master’s Degree in human services field required
- Licensed - New Jersey Issued LSW, LCSW, LAC or LPC required
- Valid driver’s license in good standing
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with an ability to establish trust and rapport.
- Active listening skills with a focus on empathy and guidance
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- A reliable, responsible, solution-focused attitude and a compassionate approach to whole health care
- A commitment to quality in everything you do
Responsibilities
- Conduct child and family therapy sessions face to face
- Support the development and implementation of service plans
- Compose treatment plans and encourage engagement in various therapies
- Organize and lead treatment meetings through active participation
- Build and maintain positive relationships with personnel from referring/collateral agencies
