About The Position
Associated Clinic of Psychology (ACP) is a leading provider of evidence-based mental health services in Minnesota, serving adults and seniors in various medical and community settings since 1980. ACP clinicians work directly with residents, staff, and families to implement strategies that improve psychological health, enhance functioning, and elevate quality of life. The role involves facilitating development so individuals can thrive in residential settings, even with chronic medical conditions like dementia, substance abuse, and related mental health disorders. Through trauma-informed care, consultation, and collaboration, ACP clinicians foster a therapeutic environment that supports community members towards vital living. The clinic is expanding its team and seeks licensed mental health professionals passionate about serving these populations.
Requirements
- Master’s or Doctoral degree (PsyD or PhD) in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field.
- Active Minnesota license as an LICSW, LP, LMFT, or LPCC
- Strong clinical skills and a passion for working with diverse and older populations.
- Commitment to culturally responsive care and integrated health models.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Compassion, empathy, and dedication to improving clients’ quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Conduct initial mental health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide evidence-based therapy and mental health interventions.
- Travel to various medical and community settings to reach clients who may have barriers to accessing traditional in-office care.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Monitor clients’ progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
