About The Position

The Mental Health Therapist provides specialized knowledge and skills to adequately perform psychiatric and mental health evaluations and assessments. This role provides guidance for the work distribution of non-licensed mental health staff that are assigned under his/her team. The therapist provides behavioral health services, such as talk therapy to individuals representing a broad range of mental health symptoms and associated functional impairment concerns. They perform evaluations and assessments to evaluate patients' mental health and develop individual treatment plans based on patients' individual needs. The therapist practices in collaboration with staff to manage patient care and provides crisis intervention as needed.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of mental health care management, principles and implications of standards for quality of care, quality measurement, monitoring, and related features of today's healthcare environment.
  • Skill in communicating in a professional manner, both verbally and in writing.
  • Skill in planning, organizing, and time management.
  • Skill in using a computer and a variety of software, including Electronic Health Records (EHR) software, Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
  • Skill in managing multiple priorities and problem solving.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet established goals and objectives.
  • Ability to maintain high levels of professional and personal integrity.
  • Ability to convey professional demeanor and sound judgment in dealing with patients' care, protection of patient privacy, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to translate general administrative guidelines into specific action.
  • Ability to act as a good representative of the company.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Master's degree from an accredited educational in Counseling or other related Behavioral Health Field.
  • Acceptable licenses include LCSW, LISW, LIMHP, PhD, PsyD.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Social Work strongly preferred
