About The Position

Athena Care has been providing high-quality, accessible mental health care for over twenty years. We are an insurance-based practice expanding across Tennessee and are seeking a fully licensed therapist near Memphis to join our team. We offer a comprehensive range of services including psychological testing, IOP/PHP, Spravato/IM Ketamine, TMS, psychotherapy, group therapy, and general psychiatry. This integrated approach ensures patients receive comprehensive care and provides clinicians with unique and interesting colleagues. We are looking for individuals who are curious about people, find energy in working with a diverse patient population, and care deeply about their patients. The ideal candidate is fully licensed in Tennessee (LPC-MHSP, LCSW, or LMFT), able to practice independently, and values collaboration and team support.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
• Tennessee licensure in good standing (LCSW, LPC-MHSP, or LMFT) and able to practice without supervision.
• Comfortable with EMR systems and standard tech tools.
• HIPAA-savvy and committed to ethical, patient-centered practice.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience providing mental health services preferred.
• BLS Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient therapy to adults, adolescents, and/or children navigating behavioral health challenges.
• Conduct assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning.
• Write progress notes and collaborate regularly with the broader care team.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the EMR.
• Maintain licensure.
• Act as a thoughtful and engaged member of the team.
