About The Position

Heartline Staffing is hiring licensed mental health clinicians to work in a correctional facility in California City, California. The therapist serves in a Mental Health Coordinator capacity, planning and providing non-medical clinical mental health services to incarcerated individuals. The role involves an individual caseload and clinical work including assessment, treatment planning, counseling, and crisis intervention. This is an in-person, facility-based position. Requirements

Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related clinical area from an accredited college or university.
Current California clinical license (LPC, LMFT, or LCSW).
Two years of clinical experience.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Thorough knowledge of psychological counseling theory and techniques.
Must work in a drug-free workplace.

Responsibilities

Conduct mental health screenings and assessments based on record review and clinical interviews.
Develop, implement, and modify individual treatment plans based on evaluation of needs and level of functioning.
Document treatment and evaluation activities in the health care record for each person seen.
Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive materials and information.
Apply knowledge of psychological counseling theory and techniques in treatment and caseload activities.
Provide mental health assessments, counseling, and crisis interventions.
