Mental Health Therapist
About The Position
Mindify Wellness and Care is hiring mental health therapists to provide onsite and telehealth services to clients in South Amboy, New Jersey. The partner adult day center generally operates Monday through Friday, with typical onsite hours from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., though hours may vary. Onsite coverage is generally needed one to three days per week, depending on center needs and the therapist's availability. Telehealth sessions may be scheduled on the same days as onsite appointments or on separate days. The team works with each therapist to develop a schedule based on their availability, preferences, specialties, and caseload capacity.
Requirements
- Master's degree or higher in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychology, or a related behavioral health field
- Active New Jersey behavioral health license or credential appropriate to the services provided, such as LCSW, LSW, LPC, LAC, or LMFT
- Ability to provide onsite services in South Amboy, NJ
- Ability to complete clinical documentation accurately and on time
- Strong communication, organization, and care coordination skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience in outpatient behavioral health, community-based care, telehealth, adult day centers, or working with diverse populations is preferred
Responsibilities
- Conduct behavioral health assessments and provide therapy based on client needs
- Develop and update individualized treatment plans
- Provide individual, family, couples, and/or group therapy within your training and scope of practice
- Use evidence-based and trauma-informed treatment approaches
- Help clients develop coping skills, emotional regulation strategies, and treatment goals
- Provide crisis intervention when clinically appropriate
- Complete accurate and timely assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes
- Collaborate with psychiatric providers, primary care providers, care managers, and other members of the treatment team
- Coordinate referrals and connect clients with appropriate community resources
- Follow HIPAA requirements, payer guidelines, professional standards, and organizational policies
