The Mental Health Professional (MHP) serves as a primary therapist to the children and families participating in the Family Based Mental Health Services (FBMHS) program. This intensive program provides family therapy, case management, and other support services directly in the family's home to prevent out-of-home placement for children and adolescents with serious emotional issues. Services include in-home family therapy, family education and skill building, and 24/7 crisis intervention. Team members receive guidance and support from experienced clinical supervisors, with AAMFT-approved supervision available for those pursuing licensure. The MHP works collaboratively with an assigned teammate and other systems impacting the family, providing services in the client's home during non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends.
