About The Position

At Paving the Way MSI, you will do more than provide therapy—you will help children, adolescents, adults, and families navigate life's challenges while building a flexible and rewarding clinical practice. As a Fee-for-Service Therapist, you will provide individual, family, and group therapy services while maintaining the flexibility to manage your schedule and caseload. You will have the opportunity to work with diverse populations across multiple behavioral health programs, including outpatient services, Victims of Crime, DC Mental Health Access in Pediatrics (DC MAP), and other community-based initiatives. Many of the individuals we serve have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, family conflict, behavioral challenges, chronic stress, and other barriers that impact their well-being. Through your work, you will provide compassionate, evidence-based care that helps individuals and families move toward healing and stability.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field
  • Active DC License (LPC, LGPC, LCSW, LICSW, or equivalent)
  • Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to culturally responsive and trauma-informed care

  • Experience in outpatient, community-based, school-based, or behavioral health settings
  • Experience utilizing evidence-based treatment approaches

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy services
  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Support individuals experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, grief, family conflict, and other behavioral health concerns
  • Utilize evidence-based and trauma-informed interventions
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to support positive treatment outcomes
  • Participate in clinical consultation and supervision as appropriate
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
  • Manage an agreed-upon caseload and service expectations
