About The Position

At CoreLife, we go beyond symptom management. Our integrated approach combines medical care, nutrition counseling, behavioral health therapy, and exercise and lifestyle support. We are combating obesity as the disease it is —and empowering patients to achieve sustainable, long-term health outcomes. We are seeking a licensed Mental Health Therapist to play a critical role in our collaborative care model. This position focuses on delivering behavioral health interventions for patients managing obesity and related chronic conditions. You will work alongside a high-performing clinical team, including Nurse Practitioners, Registered Dietitians, and Exercise Specialists, to support whole-person patient care.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in: Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy
- Active Maryland licensure required: LCSW-C (Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical), LCPC (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor), LCMFT (Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist)
- 1–2+ years of clinical experience
- Experience working with adults and/or adolescents
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and team collaboration skills

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial and behavioral health assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on behavior change and lifestyle modification
- Provide evidence-based therapy (CBT, motivational interviewing, etc.)
- Support patients with emotional, behavioral, and psychological barriers to weight management
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Engage patients to improve retention, adherence, and outcomes
