About The Position

Join CoreLife, in partnership with MedStar Health, and be part of a transformative, multidisciplinary care model focused on treating obesity and chronic disease as complex, whole-person conditions. At CoreLife, we go beyond symptom management. Our integrated approach combines medical care, nutrition counseling, behavioral health therapy, and exercise and lifestyle support. We are combating obesity as the disease it is —and empowering patients to achieve sustainable, long-term health outcomes. We are seeking a licensed Mental Health Therapist (LCSW-C, LCPC, or LCMFT) to support our Silver Spring and Germantown clinics in a split-location role. This position is ideal for a therapist who enjoys variety, collaboration, and relationship-building across multiple clinical teams. You will play a key role in delivering behavioral health interventions within our integrated care model, supporting patients managing obesity and related chronic conditions.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in: Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy
  • Active Maryland licensure required: LCSW-C (Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical), LCPC (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor), LCMFT (Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist)
  • 1–2+ years of clinical experience
  • Experience working with adults and/or adolescents
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and team collaboration skills

Nice To Haves

  • Clinical experience in behavioral health, outpatient, or integrated care

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial and behavioral health assessments
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on behavior change and lifestyle modification
  • Provide evidence-based therapy (CBT, motivational interviewing, etc.)
  • Support patients with emotional, behavioral, and psychological barriers to weight management
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated patient care
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Engage patients to improve retention, adherence, and outcomes
