About The Position

CoreLife, in partnership with MedStar Health, offers a transformative, multidisciplinary care model focused on treating obesity and chronic disease as complex, whole-person conditions. Their integrated approach combines medical care, nutrition counseling, behavioral health therapy, and exercise and lifestyle support to empower patients to achieve sustainable, long-term health outcomes. They are seeking a licensed Mental Health Therapist (LCSW-C, LCPC, or LCMFT) for a split-location role supporting their Germantown and Silver Spring clinics. This position is ideal for a therapist who enjoys variety, collaboration, and relationship-building across multiple clinical teams, playing a key role in delivering behavioral health interventions within their integrated care model to patients managing obesity and related chronic conditions.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in: Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy
• Active Maryland licensure required: LCSW-C (Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical), LCPC (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor), LCMFT (Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist)
• 1–2+ years of clinical experience
• Experience working with adults and/or adolescents
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and team collaboration skills

Nice To Haves

• Clinical experience in behavioral health, outpatient, or integrated care

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial and behavioral health assessments
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on behavior change and lifestyle modification
• Provide evidence-based therapy (CBT, motivational interviewing, etc.)
• Support patients with emotional, behavioral, and psychological barriers to weight management
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Engage patients to improve retention, adherence, and outcomes
