About The Position

Athena Care has been providing high-quality, accessible mental health care for over twenty years. We are an insurance-based practice expanding across Tennessee and are seeking a therapist near Murfreesboro to join our team. We offer a comprehensive range of services including psychological testing, IOP/PHP, Spravato/IM Ketamine, TMS, psychotherapy, group therapy, and general psychiatry. We are looking for a fully licensed therapist in Tennessee (LPC-MHSP, LCSW, or LMFT) who is eager to practice independently but also values collaboration and teamwork. Our work culture combines rigor and high-quality care with a fun and friendly atmosphere, where the operations staff handles administrative tasks to allow clinicians to focus on patient care. We aim to provide the ideal balance of a small group practice feel with strong business expertise and technology.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
• Tennessee licensure in good standing (LCSW, LPC-MHSP, or LMFT) and able to practice without supervision.
• Comfortable with EMR systems and standard tech tools.
• HIPAA-savvy and committed to ethical, patient-centered practice.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience providing mental health services.
• BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient therapy to adults, adolescents, and/or children navigating behavioral health challenges.
• Conduct assessments and diagnoses.
• Develop treatment plans.
• Complete progress notes.
• Collaborate regularly with the broader care team.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in our EMR.
• Maintain licensure.
• Act as a thoughtful and engaged member of the team.
