About The Position

Under the supervision of the coordinator of the Children’s Integrated Treatment clinic, serves as a hybrid master's level professional clinician that will provide enhanced outreach outpatient services and home-based therapy across multiple levels of care with dually diagnosed children and their families. These services could include; enhanced therapy primarily in the office setting along with community base visits, case management outreach activities, and coordination with providers both internally and externally with attendance at corresponding meetings. Population of focus will be children dually diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or Autism, as well as a behavioral health/mental health needs. This position includes many opportunities for rich training that may include evidenced based treatments, while receiving weekly supervision, participating in engaging clinical teams and working in a strength based culture that values wellness, creativity and intensity. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program/sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies and procedures. Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field.
  • Possession of an appropriate State of Michigan credential.
  • One year of experience (professional or paraprofessional) in the examination, evaluation and treatment of minors and their families, or one academic year of graduate practicum/internship experience with children and families.
  • Ability to communicate accurately and effectively both in writing and verbally.
  • Candidate must be able to work well with others.
  • Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and access to reliable means of transportation for job-related use.
  • Employment offers are contingent upon the results of a background verification and credentialing procedure including: Michigan State Police clearance check, verification of a professional license, Medicaid/Medicare verification, verification of an acceptable driving record, educational background check and verification of an acceptable work history.

Nice To Haves

  • May be required to possess the State Of Michigan Certified Addictions Counselor credential.
