About The Position

Provides ongoing mental health and psychosocial client services. Services delivered include screening and assessing client needs and determining relevant treatment plans. Initiates or participates in community development initiatives, participating in PHC initiatives evaluation within site. Promotes quality health care outcomes working within established standards of practice to ensure that clients receive a high standard of primary health care. Requirements

  • Experience working with clients and families coping with mental health disorders
  • Bachelor degree in Social Work, Psychology or other health related discipline
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Counseling skills
  • Computer skills
  • Ability to conduct a suicide risk assessment with other health care providers
  • Knowledge and skill in mental health intervention methodologies
  • Ability to create a risk management plan with other health care providers
  • Ability to advocate on behalf of clients
  • Registered/eligible for registration with the appropriate licensing body
