About The Position

This position involves providing primary case management for mentally, emotionally, or behaviorally impaired patients under the supervision of professional staff. The role includes designing, teaching, and evaluating classes in specialty treatment areas like criminality or addiction, and/or providing behavioral therapy. Additionally, the therapist will participate in basic patient care and treatment, provide security and escort services, and contribute to the general therapeutic atmosphere of the work unit. This is a permanent, full-time position located at Oregon State Hospital in Junction City, Oregon, operating 24/7.

Requirements

• Three years of experience working with people with behavioral illness or histories or physically impaired clients.
• An Associate's or a Bachelor's degree in social science (such as social work, human services, psychology, child development, gerontology, health, or health education) may be substituted for one year of the required experience.
• Must be able to work more than 8 hours in a day and/or 40 hours in a week as required.
• May require working on-call and/or rotating schedules.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Must be able to pass an abuse check, criminal records check and driving records check.
• Must complete I-9 documentation and confirm authorization to work in the United States within three days of hire.
