About The Position
The Night Shift Mental Health Technician observes, escorts, and monitors patients, reports observations to the Registered Nurse, and provides basic nursing care under the direction of the Registered Nurse. This role also assists patients with activities of daily living, helps maintain a safe, secure, and clean environment, and engages patients in positive role modeling of recovery-oriented behaviors.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of behavior management strategies required to provide care for persons with psychiatric and/or substance use disorders
- Must be able to read, understand, and follow policies, procedures, and written treatment plans.
- Must have current AHA BLS CPR within 30 days of hire
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of approved techniques to assist patients with ambulation and self-care
