About The Position

Windsor Laurelwood Center for Behavioral Medicine is seeking a Mental Health Technician to join its behavioral health treatment team. The role provides routine patient care in a psychiatric environment and supports a safe, therapeutic setting for patients of all ages. Technicians document and communicate changes in patient behavior, assist with groups and activities, and provide trauma-informed, age-specific care while maintaining therapeutic boundaries and using crisis intervention techniques.

This is a full-time position with day, evening, or overnight shift opportunities. Full-time employees work every other weekend. Evening, night, and weekend shifts receive a shift differential.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Physically and mentally fit to care for patients of all ages.
• Highly empathetic, diligent, and attentive, including during crisis situations.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• College students who have obtained or are pursuing a degree in behavioral health, psychology, nursing, or human services preferred.
• Previous experience in a mental health or substance abuse treatment facility strongly preferred.
• STNA license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment.

• Work with culturally and generationally diverse populations to meet their individual needs.
