About The Position

Performs patient care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse, supporting each patient’s psychological, emotional, and physical care needs. The role is part of the MCC Patient Safety Team and includes direct patient care, carrying out procedures and safety precautions, and documenting pertinent clinical information. The position calls for fundamental awareness of patient documentation, assessment, diagnosis, and the environment of care. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience level: less than 1 year.
• Fundamental awareness of patient documentation, patient assessment, patient diagnosis, and environment of care.
• Ability to perform patient care under RN supervision and follow special precautions and seclusion/restraint procedures safely.
• Ability to document clinical information accurately.
• Basic knowledge of safety conditions and willingness to report unsafe conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Carry out procedures under RN supervision, including special precautions and the safe, correct use of Handle with Care skills and seclusion and restraint.
• Document pertinent clinical information daily, including unusual incidents.
• Complete Seclusion/Restraint and Special Precautions documentation accurately.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Demonstrate clear and courteous communication, compassion, accountability, and attention to work quality and safety.
• Identify development opportunities, build relationships with colleagues, and offer suggestions to improve day-to-day operations.
• Use accurate information and appropriate technology and procedures to complete work effectively.
