About The Position

Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Services is looking for dedicated, energetic professionals with a passion to empower children and adolescents. We are offering On-The-Spot INTERVIEWS for: Mental Health Technicians: 2nd Shift [3pm-11:30pm]. Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Services (DPACS) serves children, adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders. Located in West Chester and Malvern Pennsylvania, services provided include psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF), acute inpatient psychiatric hospital (AIP), assessment services, community-based mental health services, community-based employment training and social skills training, and approved private school educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives.

Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or HS Diploma/GED with 2 years of experience working with youth in a direct care setting
  • Education obtained outside of the United States must have a qualified education evaluation completed (WES preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the treatment planning process.
  • Complete required new hire orientation class.
  • Complete 75-100 lbs. or more of lifting and/or managing resistance related to applying physical intervention techniques.
  • Complete 100% mastery of Safe and Positive Approaches.
  • Use protective equipment such as latex gloves, facial mask protective eyewear, and gown.
  • Engage in some degree of physical involvement in exercise of Safe and Positive Approaches.
