About The Position

This position will be based at the Haven in Dothan, Alabama. The Mental Health Technician II will be responsible for various activities to meet consumer needs, including meal preparation, cleaning, and assisting with daily tasks. The role involves teaching group and individual basic living skills, providing transportation in a system vehicle, ensuring efficient facility operation, assisting with medication under nurse supervision (requiring MAC certification), and completing documentation using an electronic health record system.

Requirements

• HS Diploma/GED
• Must meet insurance eligibility requirements to drive a system vehicle (21 years or older), good MVR, and willing to submit to motor vehicle report check
• Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen
• Must obtain CPR and MAC certification upon hire

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience providing patient care in a mental health or substance abuse treatment environment

Responsibilities

• Various activities to meet consumer needs including, but not limited to: meal preparation, cleaning of the facility, assisting with daily tasks, etc.
• Teaching group and individual basic living skills
• Providing transportation using system vehicle when required by the program
• Ensure efficient operation of the facility
• Assisting with medication using the MAC certification under nurse supervision
• Completing required documentation using an electronic health record system
