The Mental Health Tech will be responsible for taking vital signs, performing EKGs, collecting urine specimens, documenting in the EHR, completing prior authorizations, uploading medical records as needed, and assisting nursing staff to efficiently run day-to-day medical operations. Under the general supervision of the Director of Nursing, this role will help prepare patients for provider appointments, use EHR for documentation, collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality patient experiences, provide support to the team with other administrative tasks as necessary, maintain medical supply inventory, and perform preventative maintenance to keep medical equipment operating. The position also involves securing patient information and maintaining patient confidentiality by completing and safeguarding medical records, maintaining a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations, and updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications. The role requires the ability to use effective communication skills among an interdisciplinary team.
