About The Position
The Certified Nursing Assistant in the Emergency Department assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients, and helps maintain a safe environment. The role works under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.
Requirements
- Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintained as current.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
Nice To Haves
- At least six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or mental health unit is preferred.
- Current Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within six months of hire and maintained as current.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living.
