About The Position

Join INTEGRIS Arcadia Trails in Edmond, Oklahoma, as a PRN Mental Health Tech working nights. The Mental Health Technician is a member of the treatment team and works under the direction of the RN or Nurse Manager, supporting the philosophy and structure of the milieu while managing and supervising patients in an age- and developmentally appropriate manner. The role reports to the Manager, with general supervision from the RN on shift. Mental Health staff must be able to assist with physical restraint of patients using the identified Behavior Management Technique System. Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older.
Must have a current Oklahoma State Driver’s License and a driving record acceptable to the company’s insurance carrier, because the role requires operating an INTEGRIS-owned or personal vehicle.

Nice To Haves

One year of previous experience in a mental health treatment setting, or completion of a mental health worker certification program (Vocational-Technical).

Responsibilities

Document patient information for assigned patients.
Use accepted interventions, under the direction of the RN, Nurse Supervisors, Nurse Manager, or Director of Nursing, to address problematic patient behaviors, including therapeutic holds.
Assist with patient admission and discharge, and transportation as needed.
Ride or drive the van when assigned and monitor patient behavior to ensure physical and emotional safety.
Support the treatment milieu and manage and supervise patients in an age- and developmentally appropriate manner.
Assist with physical restraint of patients using the identified Behavior Management Technique System.
