About The Position
Piedmont Eastside is seeking compassionate mental health clinicians to care for patients with psychiatric illnesses in their 62-bed Behavioral Health Unit. This recovery-oriented program offers opportunities for professional growth within a collaborative care environment. The unit includes an Adult Psych Unit (ages 18-64), a Geriatric Psych Unit (ages 65 and older) requiring total care, an Intensive Outpatient Program, and ECT services. They also offer a New Graduate Program for RNs interested in Behavioral Health.
Requirements
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
- No experience required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
- Crisis Prevention within 60 Days Required
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree in behavioral health sciences Preferred
- Experience in Behavioral health and/or addictive disease Preferred
Responsibilities
- Supports the mission of the organization as a member of the multidisciplinary team in the provision of the highest quality healthcare to include individualized patient and family-centered, holistic and supportive care in a safe and caring environment.
- Provides patient care under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse for a group of patients for a designated time frame.
- Provides care and interaction to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment with assistance from other healthcare members.
- Functions as a member of the therapeutic team as designed by the policies and procedures of Piedmont Behavioral Health.
