Mental Health Tech PER DIEM Day or Night
About The Position
Arrowhead Behavioral Health is a 48-bed psychiatric hospital located in Maumee, Ohio, serving adult patients 18 years of age and older who need mental health and chemical dependency services. Our inpatient offerings include treatment for drug and alcohol withdrawal management and stabilization, as well as mental health crisis management. Our outpatient services extend the continuum of care to include partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs, allowing patients to develop and utilize proper coping mechanisms to establish a foundation for life. We also offer a Relapse Prevention Program and a Medication Administration Program to support patients in maintaining lifelong sobriety.
Requirements
- HS diploma or GED
- Proper customer service skills are required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Diplomacy and discretion are essential
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects
- Professional demeanor and appearance required
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university/college in psychology, sociology or similar field OR Associate's degree in psychology, sociology or similar field with related experience or valid CDCA from the State of Ohio with related experience, enrolled in an accredited nursing program or social services or relevant experience
- Previous experience in a mental health or substance abuse treatment facility preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate
Responsibilities
- Conduct safety checks on patients
- Facilitate educational groups
- Assist nurses in the admission and discharge process
- Support patients with one-on-one sessions daily
