About The Position

The Mental Health Technician works under the direction of the Department Manager and provides direct care to mental health patients in accordance with established standards and licensure guidelines. The role is responsible for understanding and implementing patients’ treatment plans and supporting the mission and philosophy of Behavioral Health Services. The technician interacts effectively with patients, significant others, and other members of the health team while providing care within established guidelines.

Requirements

• Associate degree or bachelor's degree in Mental Health Technology, Psychology, Human Services, or Social Work.
• Current healthcare provider CPR certification.
• NVCI certification required within the first 90 days of hire.
• General knowledge of human behavior, abnormal psychology, and developmental psychology.
• Knowledge of mental health patient care and ability to work collaboratively with others.
• Demonstrate competency in the major duties and responsibilities of the job.

• 1–3 years of job-related experience.
