The City of Fishers is seeking a full-time Mental Health Support Specialist to support community-based behavioral health and social service initiatives within the Community Support Team of the Fishers Health Department. This position plays a key role in providing mental health support and behavioral health navigation, and helping residents understand, access, and engage with appropriate services across the continuum of care. Under supervision of the LCSW, the Mental Health Support Specialist supports care coordination and system navigation, for individuals experiencing behavioral health challenges, social needs, or barriers to care. This role works closely with public safety partners, healthcare providers, and community organizations to ensure timely connection to services. The position supports a preventative, public health-focused approach to addressing mental health, substance use, domestic violence and social determinants of health. This position does not provide direct clinical therapy or independent clinical assessments and escalates concerns to the LCSW as appropriate.
