About The Position
The Student Engagement & Social Media Coordinator supports THRIVE Counseling Center by increasing student awareness of mental health resources, promoting wellness initiatives, and enhancing student engagement through social media, campus events, and creative outreach efforts. This position is ideal for a student who enjoys creating digital content, connecting with peers, and promoting a culture of well-being on campus.
Requirements
- Currently a student in good academic standing.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with social media platforms and content creation.
- Creativity, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Interest in mental health, communications, marketing, or psychology.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Canva
- Experience with social media and new technology
Responsibilities
- Create engaging social media content to promote counseling services, wellness initiatives, campus events, and mental health awareness.
- Develop graphics, short videos, stories, and other digital content for Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
- Assist with planning, promoting, and staffing campus wellness events, workshops, and awareness campaigns.
- Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and stigma-free online presence that encourages students to seek support.
- Represent Counseling & Wellness Services at campus resource fairs and student engagement activities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
