The Mental Health Specialist/Professional is responsible for rendering mental health services under the supervision of a LMHP and Program Director. This role involves providing individual Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) services to adolescent and adult clients, assisting them in developing treatment goals, and enhancing their social and interpersonal skills. The specialist will help clients build support networks, improve coping strategies, and increase their functioning in various social environments. Additionally, the role includes supporting the development of daily living skills, helping clients manage psychiatric symptoms, and assisting them in identifying and responding to triggers that lead to functional impairments. Crisis intervention is a key responsibility to ensure client safety. The position also requires timely documentation of services, attendance at agency meetings and trainings, and active participation in team coordination for cohesive service planning. The specialist will contribute to the agency's Performance Improvement initiative and communicate effectively with staff regarding client concerns. Responsibilities also include assessing and monitoring client status in relation to rehabilitation and identifying/reporting community resources.
