About The Position

This position is for a Mental Health RN at Heartland Behavioral Healthcare, part of the Ohio Department of Behavioral Health (DBH). The role involves providing medication, education, and empowerment to individuals, observing and evaluating patient behavior and condition, monitoring patient health, and participating as a member of a multi-disciplinary team. The position is hourly and covered by the Ohio Health Care SEIU/1199 bargaining unit. The role is located on unit C2 at the Heartland Behavioral Healthcare campus in Massillon, OH. The Ohio Department of Behavioral Health (DBH) is committed to providing comprehensive, person-centered care for individuals and families affected by mental health and substance use disorders. Requirements

  • Current license as registered professional nurse in state of Ohio as issued by Board of Nursing per Section 4723.03 of Revised Code.
  • All eligible applications shall be reviewed considering the following criteria: qualifications, experience, education, active disciplinary record, and work record.

  • Applicants must submit an official transcript before receiving a formal employment offer.
  • Failure to provide transcripts within five (5) business days of the request will result in disqualification from further consideration.

  • DBH reserves the right to evaluate the academic validity of the degree-granting institution.
  • The selected candidate will be required to undergo a criminal background check.
  • All final applicants tentatively selected for this class will be required to submit to urinalysis to test for illegal drug use prior to appointments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide medication, education, and empowerment to individuals
