Requirements

Associate degree (or 60 credit hours) and three (3) years of experience working directly with individuals with mental health and/or co-occurring diagnoses.
Five (5) or more years of experience in Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol Recovery, or Rehabilitation Services may be substituted for college coursework at the discretion of the hiring manager.
Excellent communication skills, documentation accuracy, and organizational skills.
Detail-oriented with strong time management and follow-through abilities.
Understanding of recovery-oriented and person-centered approaches to mental health services.
Knowledge of serious mental illness and psychiatric rehabilitation principles.
Ability to establish supportive therapeutic relationships with residents.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Ability to safely respond to crisis situations.
Basic computer proficiency and electronic documentation skills.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's Degree.
Two (2) years of experience working directly with individuals with mental health and/or co-occurring diagnoses.
Experience in residential, rehabilitation, behavioral health, or community-based services.
Experience supporting individuals in recovery-oriented residential programs.

Responsibilities

Provide direct supervision, support, and rehabilitation services to adults with serious and persistent mental health conditions in an 8-bed Community Residential Rehabilitation Services (CRRS) program.
Assist residents in developing and maintaining independent living skills, including personal hygiene, housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, medication self-management, budgeting, money management, and transportation skills.
Promote recovery-oriented, person-centered supports that encourage independence, wellness, and self-determination.
Assist residents in developing social, vocational, educational, and recreational skills.
Participate in assessments, service planning, and individualized goal development.
Monitor resident progress and support achievement of treatment and rehabilitation goals.
Coordinate with mental health providers, psychiatrists, case managers, family members, and other support services.
Assist residents in accessing healthcare, housing, employment, education, and community resources.
Observe and document medication self-administration and maintain accurate medication records.
Recognize and respond appropriately to behavioral health crises and safety concerns.
Implement crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques when necessary.
Ensure the residence remains safe, clean, and compliant with licensing and regulatory standards.
Complete documentation including progress notes, daily logs, and incident reports in a timely and accurate manner.
Participate in shift reports, team meetings, case conferences, training activities, and on-call responsibilities.
