About The Position

Residential Advisors support residents by building authentic, professional relationships and helping restore a sense of engagement, productivity, and contribution. They help maintain a safe and supportive environment through planned activities, supportive check-ins, and additional coverage as needed.

This position is based in Asheville, North Carolina, and is scheduled Wednesday through Saturday from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. The stated pay is $19.00 per hour, with increases based on experience.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience working with individuals whose lives are impeded by mental illness.
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Hold a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record to qualify for the organization's auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide relationship-oriented coaching and support to residents as they work toward their goals.
• Support residents' health and safety, respond immediately to concerns, and complete check-ins.
• Participate in and encourage resident participation in recreational, social, and cultural activities.
• Facilitate spontaneous social experiences for residents who are not participating in scheduled activities.
• Support residents with room cleaning and help clean common areas of the building.
• Transport residents to scheduled appointments as needed.
• Serve as a first responder for evening on-call services.
• Complete documentation for assigned residents.
