About The Position

The Recovery Coordinator is responsible for many operational aspects of the Transitional Living Services (TLS) apartment treatment program. This role ensures services meet State licensing standards and contract obligations, level of service, and treatment model standards. The Coordinator ensures that the program and all personnel represent the standard of care in a highly professional manner and that all program staff are adequately skilled and motivated to implement a comprehensive treatment program. The Recovery Coordinator will also observe all agency protocols, oversee hiring, training, and supervision of Transitional Living Counselors (TLC’s), and provide timely and effective performance feedback, evaluation, motivation, and direction to staff, contractors, and direct treatment providers. This role ensures overall program service implementation and that staff complete all assigned duties and maintain adequate and timely records. The Coordinator ensures data is provided to support staff on admission/discharge of clients to maintain census and facilitate billing, provides direction and consultation in service planning, and reviews and identifies qualifying services for monthly billing. They secure apartments, working with OMH, landlords, administration, and agency finance personnel to ensure leases are maintained and/or month-to-month rentals meet regulatory standards. The Recovery Coordinator reviews assigned programs for compliance with State licensing and contract standards of regulating/accrediting bodies. They conduct referral/placement, staff meetings, and communicate with staff on an ongoing basis, while keeping client information confidential. This position is responsible for the timely completion of assignments and adapts to changing workloads, to include work in evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. The Coordinator supervises, facilitates, and participates, as needed, in the assessment and admission process, and supervises and monitors the delivery of restorative services to clients. They monitor the program by observing/evaluating apartments, buildings, grounds, staff, program supplies, and vehicles, etc. The Coordinator intervenes in crisis situations as needed (assisting with a combative client, potential suicide attempts, etc.), develops protocols and procedures for assigned programs, and facilitates programmatic/operational guidelines for program and staff. They serve on internal and external committees, evaluate the use of resources, and provide feedback to administration regarding budget development. The Recovery Coordinator participates and assists in pre-service and in-service training, participates in on-call rotation, and is supportive of the program philosophy, goals, and objectives. They practice within the highest ethics and standards of their identified profession and OMH, and develop and maintain effective working relationships between law enforcement officials, judicial officials, legal resources, medical professionals, and other community resources. Additional functional/organizational support assignments may be determined at a future date.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree required at minimum in relevant field.
  • 5 years of supervisor experience working in a similar environment.

Responsibilities
