About The Position

The County of Washington Behavioral Health & Developmental Services Department is seeking applicants for the position of Mental Health Program Specialist 2. Requirements

One year as a County Mental Health Program Specialist 1; or Three years of professional level experience in the field of mental health; and a bachelor's degree; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Be able to perform essential job functions.
Pass a background investigation.
A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
Satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.

Responsibilities

Support individuals with complex needs by guiding service planning and crisis response
Work with providers, courts, hospitals, and county partners to resolve issues and improve care
Review information, analyze outcomes, and prepare reports that track service delivery
Monitor programs, assist with licensing reviews, and help ensure quality standards are met
Engage specialty populations and help organize trainings that strengthen community knowledge
Assess urgent situations and verify that proper steps are taken to protect participant welfare
