About The Position
Greenwood Care, a Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Facility (SMHRF) in Evanston, IL, has Immediate Openings for Mental Health Professionals (MHPs) to join our team. MHPs work in conjunction with the Program Director, offering psycho-social support to our consumers. Greenwood Care is an Intermediate Care Facility dedicated to the treatment and recovery of individuals suffering from chronic psychiatric disorders.
Requirements
- B.A. in Psychology or Human Services
- Two (2) years of prior experience with and/or exposure to individuals with psychiatric disorders
- Organizational and time management skills
- Analytical, assessment and active listening skills
- Must have compassion for and a strong desire to help adults with mental disorders
Nice To Haves
- Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) certification a plus
- Long-Term Care facility experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clinical team to create treatment plans
- Implement therapeutic plans and activities in a compassionate and caring manner
- Recognize, note and inform team when a consumer is not at base line
- Lead groups and hold one-on-one sessions
- Crisis management and intervention
- Carry a caseload of 30 + individuals
- Complete all necessary documentation
