About The Position

VitalCore Health Strategies is hiring full-time and part-time Mental Health Professionals at Souza Baranowski Correctional Center in Lancaster, Massachusetts. The role is part of a multidisciplinary Behavioral Health Unit team and takes a proactive, collaborative approach to serving the patient population. Candidates must hold or be eligible for an LCSW, LICSW, or LMHC license; license-eligible candidates must be on track to obtain licensure. The position is available on day or evening shifts.

Requirements

• Hold or be eligible for an LCSW, LICSW, or LMHC license; license-eligible candidates must be on track to obtain licensure.
• Graduate from a master's-level program.
• Have a minimum of one year of employment in a social work capacity in a public or private agency, or equivalent.
• Be able to administer assessments, make clinical decisions, and provide mental health treatment.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis stabilization, complete intakes and ongoing evaluations, and consult with in-house and community services.
• Participate in monthly behavioral health calls and collaborate with the medical team to determine appropriate treatment for each individual.
• Conduct inmate risk assessments; coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team, including medical staff, community providers, psychiatric hospitals, and corrections; and support discharge planning.
• Assist with planning and implementing program and project goals and objectives.
• Prepare and maintain required documentation, records, and reports.
• Prioritize treatment needs and provide crisis management and brief clinical interventions, including CBT and Motivational Interviewing.
• Maintain excellent and timely documentation.
• Co-lead group therapy, individual therapy, and crisis therapy.
• Make independent clinical decisions while seeking assistance and supervisory intervention as needed.
